View the World through Kingdom Vision

“This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.’” (Matthew 6:9-10)

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Matthew 6:33)

As disciples of Jesus, we are bicultural people.  We are migrating from living as citizens of this world (born of water) to living as citizens of the Kingdom of God (born of Spirit).  As immigrants to the Kingdom, we must learn through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to assimilate to Kingdom culture in our pursuit to “seek first his kingdom and his righteousness.”  We still understand the culture of the world, but we must discover how to think the things that God thinks and desire the things that God desires.  As disciples of Jesus, God’s Kingdom must have supremacy in our lives.
