“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.”

(2 Corinthians 5:17-19)

As the presence of Jesus today, believers share the same calling that Jesus had to draw people into a reconciled relationship with God and with others.  We must be intentional about proclaiming and living out a message of forgiveness.  We must learn to forgive if we are to be forgiven.  Reconciliation is the true testing ground for our faith in Jesus as we seek to be peacemakers and bring restoration to people who stand as enemies against us and God.
